I thought about making a YouTube video out of this, but I decided it's better to make a DeviantArt journal entry out of this. I'm only going to count anime that are either airing or that I completed/dropped. I'm excluding movies. For anime with multiple seasons, I'm only picking the best season. Just keep in mind that I started watching anime at the age of 18. So if you're not between the ages of 18-29, or your mental age isn't in that range, you can go ahead and ignore this list. With that said, here's my list.

24. Himegoto

Episodes: 13 (Short)
Season: Summer 2014
Date Watched: December 21, 2015
Score: I regret watching this.

By far, this is my least favorite anime that I watched in 2014 & 2015. The characters seems cute, except that about half of the characters are traps, meaning that they many look like girls, but they're actually boys. There are a lot of fanservice moments that make me feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable. If the idea of this anime shocks you, don't watch it. Not even the soundtrack is a redeeming feature. It's just there.

23. A-Channel

Episodes: 12
Season: Spring 2011
Date Watched: June 16 - July 29, 2015
Score: 6.5/10

A-Channel certainly has somewhat unique characters. There's Toorun, who is percieved as short, and she's cute with those sleeves past her wrists. There's Run-chan, a cute blonde hair girl who's also clumsy. The anime also provided funny moments and a solid soundtrack. It also has some fanservice which is common in most anime today. By the way, if you like Lucky Star's soundtrack, you will certainly like A-Channel's very similar soundtrack. However, it suffers for being one of the most basic and generic Cute Girls Doing Cute Things anime I watched. Does that mean A-Channel is bad? Certainly not. It's an OK anime that has a few special moments, but that's it. However, A-Channel would be a good choice for a first anime.

22. Kantai Collection: KanColle

Episodes: 12
Season: Winter 2015
Date Watched: October 21 - December 11, 2015
Score: 6 "Poi"nt 8/10

KanColle has became so popular, that its popularity rivals that of Touhou. Some people have even sunk their status as a Touhou fan because of KanColle. I was once slightly scared that KanColle might be the end of Touhou, but now I don't think it will be true. Both series are still going strong and will most likely survive into the 2020s. So about the anime. I got lured in because of Yuudachi's "Poi" and Inazuma's "Nanodesu". It's a military themed anime about cute girls doing cute things. The girls are moe personifications of WWII Japanese warships. There are many characters in this anime. A few characters were great, and the rest were just there. I heard that the anime was made for the fans, and after watching the anime, I warmed up a little more towards KanColle. In terms of enjoyment, I actually enjoyed A-Channel just a little more.

21. Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko

Episodes: 12
Season: Spring 2011
Date Watched: February 20 - March 13, 2015
Score: 7.3/10

This anime signified a turning point in my life. When searching for the term "Denpa Trance", the Exit Trance version of the opening song to this anime popped up. I thought it was perfect. That has got me interested in watching Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko. I found Erio Touwa to be super cute, and she is a hikikomori. A hikikomori is a Japanese term for "shut-in" or "introvert". She first appears wrapped up in a futon mattress. This anime provided the best opening song I have listened to so far in my opinion, and it also provided some funny moments. I also liked the point evaluation part at the end of each episode. The only problems I have with this anime are Episode 6, where things are getting uncomfortably dramatic. And also, I heard that we won't be getting a Season 2, which is an absolute bummer.

20. Danchigai

Episodes: 12 (Short)
Season: Summer 2015
Date Watched: December 7 - 20, 2015
Score: 7.5/10

Danchigai is a good short slice of life anime. I loved the twin sisters in the anime. They're cute and put a smile on my face. If only the anime lasted longer, then I would have given it a higher score. The episodes that aren't focused on the twin sisters aren't that good in my opinion. If you're looking for a short slice of life anime, Danchigai is a good choice. However, there is a better short anime in my opinion, and I will discuss about it later.

19. Lucky Star

Episodes: 24
Season: Spring - Summer 2007
Date Watched: November 27, 2014 - January 17, 2015
Score: 7.5/10

I'm probably going to make some fans angry by putting Lucky Star this low on the list. I acknowledge that Lucky Star is one of the most popular anime of all time, and most of what I'm going to say about Lucky Star is good things. Lucky Star has once dominated the otaku culture in the late 2000s, and its influence is still felt today. The anime has provided great characters, including Konata Izumi, a fan favorite within otakus. She is arguably the symbol of otakuism in the late 2000s. I love that she is an otaku, her personality relates with a lot of anime fans, and her physical appearance is ideal! Other characters, such as the Hiiragi twins, are also great. Even the supporting characters were great, and it provided one of the best casts in all of slice of life anime. The anime provided some of the most memorable anime scenes ever, some of which are funny. The soundtrack is very memorable, and the songs easily get stuck in my head. It also has an opening song that I really liked. Unlike the anime I watched before Lucky Star, this opening is, in my opinion, actually fitting for the anime. The main reason why Lucky Star ranked this low on the list is because of my personal enjoyment. Lucky Star is filled with references from well known anime before 2007 and the otaku subculture at that time. At the time I watched this anime, I've only watched three non-kids anime before. Most of the references went over my head, which is one of the main reasons why Lucky Star got a 7.5/10 in the first place. If you're looking for your first anime, then Lucky Star is not a good choice. For the final episode, I prefer that they swapped the curtain opening with the dance performance. Without Kyoto Animation, the studio that brought us Lucky Star and K-On, the Cute Girls Doing Cute Things genre will probably be much smaller than what it is today.

18. Gosick

Episodes: 24
Season: Winter - Spring 2011
Date Watched: August 3 - December 13, 2015 [DROPPED]
Score: 7.6/10

Ever since getting the album EXIT TRANCE PRESENTS SPEED ANIME TRANCE BEST 13, I learned about some anime from Winter and Spring 2011 that exists, including A-Channel, Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko, Hidan no Aria, and Gosick. Of all the anime that got remixes of this album, Gosick grabbed my attention the hardest. First off, there's Victorique de Blois. She's a blonde hair girl with very long hair. Since Gosick takes place in 1924 in a fictional European country called Sauville, she's dressed very elegantly like a doll. What also grabbed my attention is the R-rating because of violence. Thankfully, the violence level isn't too bad. The other main character is Kujo, who came from Japan to study at the Royal Academy in Sauville. The mysteries the main characters have to solve are interesting, and some of them are pretty intense. Unfortuately, Gosick was the first anime I dropped. Before watching the anime, I watched a review of the anime. In it, the reviewer mentions that the final 6 episodes were dark to the point where they bring in rape. When Episode 19 started, I immediately dropped the anime and refuse to recognize the last 6 episodes. Another problem that the anime has is that is doesn't have an English dub. It takes place in Europe, and it would make much more sense for Gosick to have an English dub.

17. Gakkougurashi!

Episodes: 12
Season: Summer 2015
Date Watched: July 27 - September 25, 2015
Score: 7.75/10

Gosick wasn't the first anime I watched that has the R rating for violence. That honor belongs to Gakkougurashi! Compared to Gosick, Gakkougrashi's level of violence is pretty tame. This was an anime that I was forced to watch during the Summer 2015 anime season, and I have no regrets watching Gakkougruashi, even though Episodes 10-11 left on intense cliffhangers. Most of you probably know that Gakkougurashi takes place during a Zombie Apocalypse. Zombies were once an overused trope from 2012-2013. Nowadays, zombies aren't that popular, so Gakkougurashi came out at the right time. The first episode seemed deceiving. It looked like a typical Cute Girls Doing Cute Things anime. But right at the end of the first episode, it was revealed that they were living in a zombie apocalypse. Even the hardtack was foreshadowing things. Hardtack is one of the most practical foods to eat during an apocalypse, so why would anyone eat hardtack in times of peace and stability? I also loved one of the main characters, Yuki Takeya. She has pink hair and always acts cheerful, even during a zombie apocalypse! Good thing she has friends that will protect her. Even with the scary setting this anime takes place, it still manages to pull off some funny moments you may see in a CGDCT (Cute Girls Doing Cute Things) anime. Likewise, there were intense moments, especially during the final few episodes. I also have to mention the insanely catchy opening song, which is in my top 10 favorite songs of 2015. As you can tell, I am a huge fan of denpa music, which is extremely cute and catchy, yet it deceives us. With all the great things I said about this anime, there are two problems I have with this anime. 1: There isn't a lot of supporting characters. Since it takes place in a zombie apocalypse, there isn't a lot of supporting characters. 2: I'm not a fan of the horror genre. I generally stay away from horror anime, but since Gakkougurashi has a strong moe aspect, I wanted to watch it. If you haven't watched Gakkougurashi, you are certainly missing out.

16. Non Non Biyori (Both Seasons)

Episodes: 24 (12 each)
Season: Fall 2013 / Summer 2015
Date Watched: October 2 - December 9, 2015
Score: 7.8/10

Like I said earlier, I'm only going to pick the best season. For Non Non Biyori, it's best to watch both seasons at the same time, because both seasons take place in the same time and place. Here is the chronological order of all 24 episodes.
  1. I Became a First Grader - Season 2 Episode 1
  2. A New Transfer Student Came Season 1 Episode 1
  3. We Went to the Candy Store - Season 1 Episode 2
  4. We Went to Look at the Stars - Season 2 Episode 2
  5. We Got Motivated During the Holiday Break - Season 2 Episode 3
  6. I Ran Away from Home with My Sister - Season 1 Episode 3
  7. I Made a Teru-teru Bouzu - Season 2 Episode 4
  8. We Ate Okonomiyaki - Season 2 Episode 5
  9. We Made Friends With Fireflies - Season 2 Episode 6
  10. Summer Vacation Started - Season 1 Episode 4
  11. We Bravely Dove In - Season 2 Episode 7
  12. I Pretended I Forgot My Swimsuit - Season 1 Episode 5
  13. I Became a Ghost and Tried Hard - Season 1 Episode 6
  14. My Rice Crackers Turned Into Curry Season 1 Episode 7
  15. I Took Lunch Duty - Season 2 Episode 8
  16. We Looked at the Moon Together - Season 2 Episode 9
  17. We Cooked Rice at School - Season 1 Episode 8
  18. We Tried Having a Cultural Festival - Season 1 Episode 9
  19. I Practiced Really Hard - Season 1 Episode 10
  20. I Became a Pampered Child - Season 2 Episode 11
  21. We Watched the First Sunrise of the Year - Season 1 Episode 10
  22. We Made Snow Houses - Season 1 Episode 11
  23. Spring Came Again - Season 1 Episode 12
  24. A Year Passed - Season 2 Episode 12
It may seem confusing, but for the best experience, get started on watching both seasons at the same time. As for the anime itself, it's been praised as one of the best cute girls doing cute things anime. It had great characters, whether they're cute or relatable. Most notably, the anime is one of the most relaxing anime ever. It takes place in the countryside, and it's one of the most innocent anime ever. Like most CGDCT anime, it manages to contain some cute moments and funny moments. I actually watched Season 1 Episode 6 of Non Non Biyori in my anime club in my high school. Of course, this anime has no plot. It's just cute girls doing cute things. If you love simple anime without a plot, this is the one for you.

15. Barakamon

Episodes: 12
Season: Summer 2014
Date Watched: April 11 - 18, 2015
Score: 7.9/10

This anime is actually in the Top 100 anime according to MyAnimeList.net. It's probably because the anime is a perfect example of a Slice of Life anime. I actually forced myself to watch this anime to get the opening song in my head, and I have no regrets. This anime is about a calligraphy artist named Seishuu who was exiled to the countryside. While in the countryside, he encounters some memorable characters, including Naru. What I like about Naru is her gender neutral appeal. She's guaranteed to make you smile or laugh. Not only that, but Seishuu has experienced some major character development thanks to the characters and the new environment. The anime does have very funny moments as well as memorable moments. Unlike Non Non Biyori, Barakamon has a plot, a moral to the story, and character development that goes perfectly slow. I will say that the anime has very little problems that don't seem to bother me that much. While I don't think it's the best anime I watched, Barakamon is still very good.

14. Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku

Episodes: 10 (Short)
Season: Spring 2013
Date Watched: October 24, 2015
Score: 8.0/10

Sadly, short anime tend to be rated much lower than regular length anime on MyAnimeList.net, and Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku is no exception. Some people have high hopes for this short anime, only to find out it was a major disappointment. For me, I loved the opening song and the ending song. The story is actually very, very relatable to me. It's a story about sisters who are poor because of poor financial decisions. Instead of buying things they need, they buy things they want. The older sister is mainly the one who spends the money on otaku-related merchandise, and the younger sister tends to criticize her actions. As a college student whose only income is through chores (and YouTube videos through ad revenue), I can relate to this anime.

13. Ro-Kyu-Bu!

Episodes: 12
Season: Summer 2011
Date Watched: November 1 - 17, 2014
Score: 8.1/10

If you identify yourself as a lolicon, you will really enjoy Ro-Kyu-Bu! If not, then just stay away from Ro-Kyu-Bu! This is the third anime I watched that's not targeted at kids. The basketball update for Angry Birds back in October 2014 has made me want to watch Ro-Kyu-Bu! Surprisingly, Ro-Kyu-Bu has followed my past without me even knowing it! Ro-Kyu-Bu is an anime about a girls basketball team whose coach has been suspended, so a guy named Subaru has to chip in and become a basketball coach. Ro-Kyu-Bu has the cutest lolis I've ever seen in an anime. My favorites are the ones with the pink hair, Tomoka and Hinata. The anime provides funny moments and fanservice, which may cause some people to feel awkward. I really like the first episode, where Subaru was greeted by the basketball team members who are all wearing maid costumes. As the story progresses, the basketball team becomes stronger and more developed. Episodes 10-11 ended on cliffhangers, so I watched episodes 10-12 on November 17. I haven't watched the second season yet, but I prefer not to.

12. Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

Episodes: 12
Season: Spring 2015
Date Watched: June 23 - July 29, 2015
Score: 8.2/10

I've seen this anime being advertised on Crunchyroll, and just before this anime was finished, I started to watch it. I was expecting cute girls and witch hats, but it turns out that there were no witch hats. The story is about an unpopular boy who apparently can swap bodies after falling down the stairs with Urara Shiraishi, a popular girl, only to later reveal that it was a kiss that activated the body swapping skill. This anime is funny and exciting. The seven witches part came in at around the fourth or fifth episode, where the characters have to find the seven witches. The characters are very good. Unlike most of the anime on this list, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches is not a moe anime, but it provided comedy, romance, takes place at a school, and involves supernatural forces. I also heard that the anime was rushed, but it's still very good. What makes this anime so good was the final episode. I won't spoil it, but it's all worth it in the end. You have to watch the anime for yourself.

11. Working!!

Episodes: 13
Season: Spring 2010
Date Watched: May 21 - 25, 2015
Score: 8.3/10

Working!! came out during the darkest time of my life. It was a time where I was persecuted online, and I still remember it as a tragic time in my life. It's also a time where I wouldn't watch any anime made not for kids because of my very strong moral values. 5 years later, I came across a scene from Working which I thought was funny and awesome! I then watched another scene I remembered watching a long time ago. On May 21, 2015, I was still watching Hibike! Euphonium, meaning I would rather not watch another anime while Hibike! Euphonium is airing. However, I got so tired of waiting for the next episode, that I decided to start watching Working!! This is one of the funniest anime I've ever seen! The anime had some of the most enjoyable characters. My favorite characters are Souta Takanashi, Popura Taneshima, and Mahiru Inami. I can relate to Takanashi very well. Like me, he loves things that are cute and tiny. He got a job at the family restaurant "Wagnaria" after encountering Taneshima, whom Takanashi was infatuated by because of Taneshima's shortness. At the end of the first episode, Inami comes in and punches Takanashi very hard, because Inami is afraid of men. The opening of the song actually made me like really fast opening songs that can outspeed Through the Fire and Flames, and is one of my favorite anime openings I first listened to in 2015. Surprisingly, even for a very funny anime, Working!! has character and romance development, which kind of disappointed me a little since I came for the comedy. The last few episodes of the first season weren't the best in my opinion. The second season wasn't that great, either, but I watched it. The third season managed to conclude almost all of the story arcs, which felt satisfying. Unlike Charlotte, which was horribly rushed, Working Season 3 did not rush the final episode, and it will conclude with an upcoming OVA finale which I hope will be very satisfying. The first season holds the record for the fastest time for me to complete a full length anime, at just 5 days. At that time, Working!! was about to get removed from Crunchyroll and Hulu, so I had to hurry up. In conclusion, Working was very funny, but could have been better executed in my opinion.

10. Hibike! Euphonium

Episodes: 13
Season: Spring 2015
Date Watched: April 23 - June 30, 2015
Score: 8.8/10

This anime is very relatable, because I used to be in the band from 6th grade to 9th grade. I played the trumpet. By the time I was in high school, I quit the band once I completed 9th grade due to how difficult band was. On January 2015, I saw an image on Safebooru related to Hibike! Euphonium. It really intrigued me, and I had plans to watch Hibike! Euphonium. I was actually one of the first people to get on the hype train for Hibike! Euphonium, although my hype level wasn't too high. The first two episodes introduces everything, including the characters and the setting. Our main character is Kumiko Oumae, who after going to her new high school, realizes that the band needed some improvement. She then meets some characters who help Kumiko join the band and develop as a character. Unlike K-ON! which focuses more on cute and funny moments, Hibike! Euphonium focuses more on plot progression and character development. There are a lot of relatable moments in this anime. The anime is created by Kyoto Animation, and the art is beyond amazing. As time goes on, most of the characters have gotten much better in terms of performance. Also, more and more fans flocked to Hibike! Euphonium. Unlike most of the fans, I don't care much about the yuri teasing. I stayed for the story. The ending is predictable, yet so satisfying. In the end, I found Hibike! Euphonium to be neither overrated nor underrated. People are begging for a Season 2, and a Season 2 is confirmed shortly after! It will probably be slow paced based on what happened in the first season.

9. Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka??

Episodes: 12
Season: Fall 2015
Date Watched: October 11, 2015 - Present
Score: 8.8/10

To me, the first season of Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka was decent. I loved the cute characters, and it had cute & funny moments. It's pacing is comfortably slow. The only problem is that I don't like coffee. Even after I complete the second season, my opinion on coffee won't change, and I didn't come for the coffee. I came for the super cute characters. I especially love Cocoa, Chino, and Syaro. The anime started getting good when Syaro was introduced, and it became even better by Episode 8, the pool episode. All of the main characters are very cute. The reason why the second season is better than the first season is because the cuteness level of this anime is turned up to 11! The scenes in Season 2 are overall better than in Season 1. Notable scenes include Rize's smile in Episode 1, the maid episode in Episode 2, and the ending song that's so cute; it can give you diabetes (JK). I also liked the new opening song, which I thought was better than the previous one. When I joined Vine, the latest Japanese anime vines I found most often are either from Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka or Yuru Yuri. These vines helped solidify my love for Gochuumon wa Usaugi Desu ka. I just can't wait for the final episode.

8. Himouto! Umaru-Chan

Episodes: 12
Season: Summer 2015
Date Watched: August 6 - September 23, 2015
Score: 8.9/10

Of all the opening themes of anime that I watched, this is by far the best opening song. It's very fast paced, diverse, and dangerously catchy! I love Umaru as a character. She's like the Chuck Norris of anime girls. In her regular form, she is unrealistically perfect! In her chibi form, she's so cute. She's also relatable to otakus at the time this anime was released, including myself, but I wouldn't call myself a hardcore otaku, yet. She's also insanely good at video games, but certainly not as good as Blank from No Game No Life. I especially loved the part where the Internet is out, and Umaru tries to solve the problem by going to the Internet. The supporting characters are also very good, especially Sylphinford, Umaru's rival. Watching this anime always brings me with joy. Unfortunately, barely anyone talks about this anime after it ended, but it was very, very enjoyable.

7. Majimoji Rurumo

Episodes: 12
Season: Summer 2014
Date Watched: July 20 - September 25, 2014
Score: 9.0/10

If you're wondering why Majimoji Rurumo ranked so high, it's because it's not only my first anime aside from kids anime, but also mainly because of the main character, Rurumo. She is so cute! I love not only her big witch hat, but also her personality. I first heard about it by searching the images on Safebooru. I found an image of Rurumo, and I decided to watch the anime that she came from. I was 18 years old at the time, and I thought now is a good time to start watching some real anime. The other main character, Kouta Shibaki, is your typical pervert character. The anime had funny moments ranging from fanservice to slapstick. As for the story, I suggest you watch the first episode and see if you like it. If you don't like fanservice, then just skip this anime. I heard that the anime is just average, but to me, this anime holds a special place. I watched it during the second darkest time of my life, when major changes were going on in my life, both positive and negative. Too bad we are probably never going to get a second season. Watching this anime was my first step towards being a real otaku.

6. Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!

Episodes: 12
Season: Winter 2012
Date Watched: November 24 - December 15, 2015
Score: 9.1/10

At one point, I thought about anime about fatherhood. There was Aishiteruze Baby, which I couldn't get into, Usagi Drop, which I might watch just before I have my first child, and Barakamon, which I've already discussed about. Then there's Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai, which is the best anime about fatherhood in my opinion. What makes this anime fantastic is its story. It's about a young man in college who has to take care of his nieces after their parents went on vacation. I love how this anime teaches the values of family, and the final episode is one of the best final episodes I have watched. The art isn't the best, but that doesn't ruin the anime. For an anime with a great story, I definitely recommend Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!

5. Hanamaru Kindergarten

Episodes: 12
Season: Winter 2010
Date Watched: October 22 - 27, 2014
Score: 9.2/10

Here we have the cutest anime in my opinion. It's cute because it takes place at a Kindergarten that looks very amazing. This anime brings me with much joy and relaxation. The story is about another young man named Tsuchida who gets a job at the Kindergarten. Anzu, a Kindergartner, is obsessed with Tsuchida ever since they first met, but Tsuchida is too old for Anzu. Tsuchida prefers a pretty kindergarten teacher named Yamamoto. The anime is filled with super cute and super funny moments, and the kindergartners look like chibis. They are so cute and tiny! If this anime sparks your interests, you have to watch it.

4. Squid Girl

Episodes: 12
Season: Fall 2010
Date Watched: June 16 - July 29, 2015
Score: 9.5/10

While Hanamaru Kindergarten is the cutest anime in my opinion with super funny moments, Squid Girl is much funnier than Hanamaru Kindergarten in my opinion. This anime had moments where I laughed extremely hard! Squid Girl got a surge in popularity in 2015 because of Splatoon. The anime mainly takes place at a beach. One day, Squid Girl comes to inkvade mankind in response to humans polluting the seas and the oceans. The interactions Squid Girl has with the main characters are extremely funny! There are a variety of quirky characters, and each and every single episode can be super funny, or funny and awesome at the same time! This is especially true with the final episodes, which is one of the best finale episodes I have watched! But then, not every segment of Squid Girl isn't fantastic. There were some that I think weren't that great. Of course, humor is subjective, and I think I found the funniest anime out there, Squid Girl! If you're going to watch it, I ultimately suggest watching the English dub. If only the second season got a dub.

3. Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!

Episodes: 12
Season: Fall 2012
Date Watched: September 30 - October 6, 2015
Score: 9.7/10

Chuunibyou has just about everything I want in an anime. The first episode hooked me in really hard. Cute characters with great appearances and personalities, funny moments, a great cast, dramatic moments, over-the-top action scenes (although they're delusional), an awesome soundtrack, memorable opening and ending songs, amazing art (It's animated by Kyoto Animation), an amazing story, romance, character development, and an amazing final episode. I also liked how the Chuunibyou syndrome plays a major role in the anime, even though I never heard about it before watching this anime. There is nothing I particularly dislike about this anime, making this anime a perfect anime. There are only two anime that are better than this one, which I'm going to talk about now.

2. No Game No Life

Episodes: 12
Season: Spring 2014
Date Watched: October 22 - November 18, 2015
Score: 9.8/10

I heard about No Game No Life several times before, but I didn't have any plans to watch it until I watched a top 10 list. The list has really convinced me to watch No Game No Life. Before I even started watching No Game No Life, I knew it will get a 10 from me. It's in the Top 100 anime according to MyAnimeList.net. I had extremely high expectations for this anime, and I waited for the perfect time to watch this anime. It managed to slightly exceed those super high expectations. No Game No Life is about two hikikomori gamers known as Blank. They are named Sora and Shiro. Sora is an 18 year old guy, and Shiro, Sora's younger sister, is 11 years old. Shiro is not only very cute, but her IQ is absurdly high, just like Sora. Together, they never lose. One fateful day, they got teleported to another world called the Disboard, a world where everything is decided by games. Blank's goal is to challenge the God of the Disboard to a game of chess. Each episode fills me up with excitement with many locations, amazing games, character development, epic moments, and funny moments too. Also, the soundtrack for No Game No Life is amazing. It's filled with many different kinds of electronic music that sound awesome on their own. The only main problem I have with this anime is the fanservice. The fanservice is why this anime cannot take the #1 spot For some anime, fanservice doesn't bother me, but for other anime, fanservice could be an issue, and No Game No Life is no exception. Granted, some scenes in No Game No Life were amazing, while others would be better off not existing. Also, we're still waiting for that Season 2 announcement! Other than that, I have enjoyed No Game No Life a whole lot.

1. Rozen Maiden

Episodes: 12
Season: Fall 2004
Date Watched: June 16 - July 29, 2015
Score: 9.8/10

All but two of the anime on this list came from the 2010s. Does that mean anime from the 2000s are worse than anime from the 2010s? Heavens, no! Rozen Maiden, which came out in 2004, is the best anime I watched in 2014-2015. I actually first heard about it in 2009-2010 on another forum. The story is about a middle school dropout named Jun. One day, he finds a box containing a Rozen Maiden doll named Shinku. After winding the doll up, Shinku comes alive. Shinku then makes Jun her servant. As the story progresses, more dolls come on. This is the only anime on this list to have an evil villain that appears consistently: Suigintou. The other Rozen Maiden dolls that appear in Season 1 are Hinaichigo, Suiseiseki, and Souseiseki, and they're all great. The anime perfectly balances comedy, drama, and action while having a magic theme. On some episodes, we get comedy. On other episodes, we get story progression with drama and action. Without spoiling anything, the 12th episode is the most satisfying finale episode I have ever seen. In conclusion, Rozen Maiden is an absolute must watch.

I hope this list gets you interested in watching some anime.
